Wish to be the rain falling into a quiet realm
Flooding the evening road with cleansing purity and love
Wish to be the cloud lost in the path of impermanence
Within the ancient blue sky, floating low and high
Wish to be the wandering wind for a thousand ages,
Since forever, no border or barrier in place
Wish to be the night embracing the path of moonlight
Wish to be the ageless silver-haired sea waves
Chasing dreams and forgetting life for months and days
Wish to be this very moment that stands still
Forgets old sorrows, tomorrow still there
Wish to be the eagle flying with the wind
Wings outstretched, hugging the vast sky
Wish to be just a plain phrase
With eye expressions that speak volumes of words
Still in the heart, lot of feelings unsaid
To make the heart skip beats in one’s chest

Feelings of affections and mild sadness
Pervades the poem with gentle feelings
Moments of simple happiness
Touching softly a corner of my heart

Xin làm mưa bay vào cõi vắng
Ngập đường chiều trắng xóa yêu thương
Xin làm mây lạc nẻo vô thường
Giữa lòng trời xanh xưa chìm, nổi
Xin làm gió ngàn đời rong ruổi
Tự bao giờ chẳng vách, bờ ngăn
Xin làm đêm trải tận đường trăng
Bước quỳnh hoa tay người dẫn lối
Xin làm sóng bạc đầu không tuổi
Đuổi mộng mơ quên hết tháng ngày
Xin làm thời gian ở lúc này
Quên buồn xưa, ngày mai còn đó
Xin làm cánh chim bằng lướt gió
Xoải hồn bay ôm cả bầu trời
